Are Pre Apprenticeship Programs Worth It

Pre-apprenticeship training programmes similar to apprenticeship programmes but are fully government-funded, while apprenticeship programmes are only partially funded.

Following a pre-apprenticeship, the student is responsible for applying to the standard apprenticeship programme. However, you may start year two the following year because you would get credit for having completed the first year of study since the courses in the pre-app were identical to those in the first year regular apprenticeship programme.

Suppose the apprenticeship programme you wish to pursue does not have a pre-apprenticeship programme. In that case, it is more than likely that with some basic knowledge of the topic and an employer willing to sponsor you, the best choice would be to complete the apprenticeship training at a college.

Certain requirements must be fulfilled in order for a person to be deemed eligible for a pre-app course, so if you are not already working in the sector and satisfy the other specified criteria, a pre-app programme may be an excellent way to get started.
