Can Apprenticeships be Part Time

An apprenticeship is an actual job training programme that helps you to gain a living while studying and being highly skilled in your chosen trade at the end of the programme.

Apprenticeships are open to people of all ages above the age of 16, enabling them to succeed in their careers and improve their qualifications.
Individuals must satisfy any entry criteria for the apprenticeship programme they choose to pursue.

Can apprenticeships be part time?

Apprentices will work a minimum of 30 hours per week and up to 40 hours a week.

Off-the-job time spent in college or education is considered.

Part-time apprenticeships with at least 16 hours a week can be agreed upon with the employer, for example, when apprentices have caring responsibilities.
