Do You Get UCAS Points For Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships do not have UCAS points. A student who has completed an Apprenticeship in Engineering, for example, maybe a suitable candidate for a Foundation Degree in Engineering Technology. If your institution discovers appropriate development courses, you may express this using standard UCAS language, such as ‘acceptable on its own.’

Although apprenticeships does not have a UCAS tariff, several Advanced Apprenticeship frameworks include a component section, such as a BTEC Level 3 Diploma or a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma.

However, not all Advanced Apprenticeship frameworks include BTEC qualifications. Some will consist of equivalent qualifications such as City & Guilds, so learners with non-UCAS tariff-bearing qualifications should contact the admissions department to discuss the specific content of their qualification.
