What Happens After An Apprenticeship

The completion of an apprenticeship is a significant achievement. It suggests that you’ve struck a careful balance between your work, school, and social life – and that somewhere along the line, you’ve earned a useful qualification.

What happens after an apprenticeship?

So, first and foremost, pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself on your efforts. Now is the time to take a step back and think about your choices.

You will have added a significant asset to your CV in the form of actual work experience in your chosen field. You’ll have built a great professional network of new friends who will function as future contacts.

Consequently, you may instantly update your CV and start searching for work or higher education in the sector. According to the most current Department for Business, Innovation, and Skills data, 90 per cent of apprentices are offered permanent employment either during or after they complete their apprenticeship.

If your funds allow, take the time to find the ideal job for you. Don’t be afraid to throw punches bigger than your weight. Every interview is a chance to learn something new and build confidence, and you never know what an employer may notice about you. However, you owe it to yourself to be adequately prepared for the interview stage.

If your apprenticeship provider has offered you a full-time position, you should take it. However, don’t feel obliged to say yes, and don’t say yes without first evaluating your alternative options.

Consult your employer if you have any unresolved questions about what will happen next. In addition to resolving all of the nuts and bolts issues, they may have some important suggestions about the kind of path you should take.

But, in the end, the choice is all yours.

The next chapter of your life is about to begin. And, as is usually the case, having a clear picture of where you want to go in the future is advantageous.

Hopefully, your apprenticeship experience has taught you something about what makes you tick, what you value in your career, and the kind of work that gets you out of bed in the morning. As a result, be sure that the next job you apply for will do precisely that.
